⚠️ Important Rule:

The destination station callsign must be 9 characters in length. Add spaces as needed to ensure the field is all 9 characters long. In this example, ANSRVR is 6 characters so 3 additional spaces are added at the end.

Note - an Internet-connected station must hear your JS8 signal for this to work.

🔑 Key Differences from ANSRVR:

No CQ prefix - Start directly with HOTG

Logging only - Your check-in is counted but not broadcast

📋 MISCELLANEOUS INFORMATION

📅 Net Schedule

The APRS Thursday net is held each week on Thursday between the hours of 00:00:00UTC to 23:59:59UTC.

Based on your browser's locale, you can check into the net each week anytime between and in your local timezone.

🎯 How to Participate

To participate in the net, you have two options:

Option 1: Broadcast Check-in (ANSRVR)

Send an APRS message addressed to ANSRVR:

CQ [space] HOTG [space] Your message text...

This broadcasts your message to all participants.

🔄 After Check-in

Once you receive your ack from ANSRVR send the following follow-up message to ANSRVR:

U [space] HOTG

This will "Unjoin" your station and prevent additional traffic from being routed to you and eliminate unnecessary traffic on the system.

ℹ️ Additional Information

If your message has been successfully received by the ANSRVR (announcement server), it will be sent out to all hams who have checked in within the last 12 hours.
